Pitch Competition 2023
Thirty-two startups gave their all in the pitch competition, and ten secured the coveted spot in the final. Rethink Medical took home the €10,000 prize for best startup, presented by Augusto Hidalgo, Vice President of the Gran Canaria Island Council. They also received a three-month CFO service, valued at €7,200, courtesy of Intelectium. Sycai Medical won €3,000 for best medical startup, sponsored by San Roque University Hospitals, while Evosocial won €3,000 in the social sector, awarded by the MAPFRE Canarias Foundation.

Best medical startup award
San Roque Hospitals , a Canarian healthcare group with more than 100 years of experience, has always led the medical technology sector and the development of highly complex medical units so that patients do not have to leave the Canary Islands. And with this philosophy he promoted the award for the best startup in the medical field, whose prize valued at €3,000 went to Sycal Medical . Startup that empowers medical professionals through Artificial Intelligence.

Best social startup award
Fundación Mapfre Canarias, in its commitment to the social development of the Canarian community, sponsored the award for the best startup in this field. The €3,000 prize went to EvoSocial Soft, whose main activity is the development of technological solutions based on the use of four main lines of work: the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence and, specifically, Artificial Vision, Robotics and custom software development.

Best startup award
Rethink Medical, created to develop new medical solutions to everyday health problems, promotes a urinary catheter to improve the patient's quality of life and reduce infections. With this purpose it won the title of best startup in the sponsored pitch competition by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria. The first vice president of the City Council, Augusto Hidalgo, presented the prize of 10,000 euros. In addition, he won a three-month CFO service valued at €7,200 courtesy of Intelectium , which he received from its CEO and founder, Patricio Hunt.
